We (I mostly, seeming that Eric doesn't exactly get along with technology) have decided to start a blog to share some of the wonderfully boring everyday ins-and-outs of our little life together. We don't get to talk on the phone with our loved ones as much as we used to, so this is a great way to jot down the fun things happening in our lives (and post photos, of course!), and if you have a few spare minutes then you can take a peek into our existence by reading our blog. This is also a great way for us to keep track of all the great things we get to do in life...that we usually forget about 2 days later when we've gone on to something else.
**side-note: thank you to my mother-in-law for indroducing me to loose leaf tea about 7 years ago...this glass of iced sweet tea (hot is better!) is making me very happy right now :)**
As you know, we're quite new to this blogging thing, so the writings may not be so exciting in the beginning. But, as we catch on, I think our creative juices will get flowing and we'll get better! Eric's current conributions to this blog are: picking out the background and sitting next to me playing a baseball game, haha. And telling me that he's hungry (I am too!). I guess when one of us gets hungry enough we'll head into the disaster zone (our kitchen) where an Oklahoma tornado mysteriously hit last night, thankfully missing the rest of our apartment. You and I both know how those tornados are, they are a hit and a miss.
Just a small note on myself: I plan on incorporating lots of quotes and verses in our blog. I'm newly obsessed with inspirational readings and awesome books that I get for $1 or less from the bargain section in all the stores around Edmond. Our little dumpster-dived bookshelf is starting to lean a little...hopefully Eric finds us another one soon! haha.
Speaking of which...we're about to head over to his sister's apartment to drop off a set of dresser drawers that are nice...which were also dumpster-dived...that we are no longer in need of. I'll keep you all updated on our most current findings....this town is a dumpster-divers dream (the proof is in our completely furnished apartment)!
Anyhow, I guess this is the conclusion of the VERY FIRST Ellis blog! I leave you with my favorite quote for today:
"To be a person is to have a story to tell."

All Our Love,
